Quickchat lets you make a particular sequence of keys to

say a certain phrase. It is possible to repeat these sequences over and over again to spam the chat window. They are still spammable, however, they're muted. They do this because they don't think it's appropriate to take advantage of the system. They are looking to create chaos and take revenge on the one who complained about them. If they aren't sure, they will attack them or scream at them. Although this is not true for all people, I have observed a lot of them.
So, do the mutes work? It doesn't. There is no. It's a rare occurence that someone should come back and turn over a new leaf there and after. While it can happen gradually as the person ages and gets older, mutes can have little to no effect.
It is crucial to remember that there are other people who are being unfairly ignored. My concern is with people who intentionally cause the offence to bring chaos to the community in an effort to disrupt it or destroy friendships.
What then? Let it continue as before. Or should it be more harsh and severe? Or decrease the punishment. I don't know. I think that the muting system does not function due to two reasons. They create more anger than good and quickchat has made it obsolete.
The obvious solution is to stop using quickchat. It could, but it will not suffice to stop people from being angry. Are you willing to get rid of the players? It's certainly possible, but it requires getting rid of those who comprise the community, the people who make the game better. The mindset that is behind the crime that needs to be sorted out. However, that's not a real person. This is an online world, so is it possible to alter the character of the person? It ought to give you some suggestions. I'll end by asking the same question I began by asking: Do mutes really work? Thank you for
